Owner Malcolm Rehren has set up, owned and operated this business in Hervey Bay since 2008. His experience stems from a love of Aquarium fish and is considered an expert in his field, breeding fish for in excess of 14 years.
His knowledge & experience led him to be the Proprietor of Absolutely Fish & Pets
Malcolm has developed a World of Pets here in Hervey Bay striving to provide great service and advice to their customers for the betterment of their pets.
As owner-operator in our world of pets, he is a local resident, completing his
education at Maryborough High. Having constant appreciation in this field, the store that has relocated and grown is one pet store that for many years, boasts knowing most of its client/customers by name.
It’s more than a pet store, it’s your destination for all types of furry, fluffy, feathered,
not so fluffy friends. Malcolm just loves Fish & Live corals.

Meet Annette
My name is Annette, Manager of Absolutely Fish and Pets. I take great pride in my fish tanks, planted and cichlids.
I have a bird called Ziggi whom I love spending time with. I also own 2 dogs. I have been around animals all my life. You will usually find me serving customers or trying to organise orders coming in.
I take great pride in my work and look forward to my future ahead with Absolutely Fish and Pets.
Meet Wayne
Wayne grew up with pets and is a long term employee of Absolutely Fish and Pets.
Customers needing assistance with fins, feathers and most other areas of the shop will find him ready to help and inspire. Wayne has bred and kept many wild Betta species, fancy fighting fish, cichlids and tetras and also has good aqua scaping knowledge.
Wayne is currently the secretary of the Hervey Bay Bird Club and has kept and bred small parrots such as Budgies and Cockatiels. He has a hand raised creamino Indian Ringneck, a hand raised Blue Quaker parrot and a variety of small parrots at home.
Meet Seth
Hello, my name is Seth. I’ve been working with Absolutely Fish and Pets for a few years now.
I love all animals and have 2 English Staffies, 6 rats, fish and have experience with reptiles.
I’m always happy to help so please don’t be shy to talk to me!
Meet Emolly
Our newest face Emolly, has grown up with a variety of pets and developed a love for animals of all kinds.
Since coming to Absolutely Fish and Pets she has started a Certificate III in Animal Care Services and is quickly expanding her knowledge.
She currently has two fish tanks, four rats and a cockatiel named Teemo. With an extensive background in retail, Emolly is always ready and eager to help in any way she can.
